How to Complete Water Temple Spinning Tower Puzzle in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

The Upheaval has brought great hardship to the kingdom of Zora, whose sacred waters are being corrupted by a strange sludge. In the “Sidon of the Zora” quest, you will have to enter the Water Temple and restore the ancient valves by solving various puzzles. Most of these puzzles are not too difficult, but the last one can be tricky. It involves a Spinning Tower that you need to stop somehow. How do you do that? Here is the solution to the Spinning Tower puzzle at the Water Temple.

We want to be honest with you, we’ve achieved this by a fluke. Namely, we shot arrows randomly at the tower until we hit the target inside the Spinning Tower’s top part. The top part has three sides with walls, and one side without. Inside, there’s something you need to hit to stop the Tower. We got lucky, but there’s a better (and right!) way to do it.

What you need to do is to place some of the surrounding Hover Stones (antigravity platforms) with your Ultrahand where best suits you. We advise you to make some kind of stairs so that you can reach as high as you can. Then, from the highest platform, jump and aim towards the Tower with your bow. This will stop time, and if the correct side is turned towards you, you will be able to hit the switch inside it and stop the tower.

Once you stop the Spinning Pillar in the Water Temple in Zelda TOTK, the water around you will recede. This will reveal the final water-mill-like structure. From there, continue your quest. And don’t forget to collect the chests around you!
