How to Shoot Down Flying Monster in Zelda Tears Of the Kingdom, Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower

When you reach the Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower in Zelda TOTK (in Akkala Highlands), you’ll soon meet Sawson. Sawson will explain that, to repair the Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower, you will need to defeat the big scary Flying Monster. That’s because the Flying Monster has stolen the Tower’s terminal. Seems like quite a straightforward task on paper. However, it turns out that it’s not actually that easy to shoot down the Flying Monster in Zelda TOTK. Namely, it flies really high, and it’s speedy! It’s almost impossible to hit the fast-moving target so high above you. So, what do you need to do here?

Well, you will need to use your Fuse ability! Namely, if you remember the gameplay overview trailer, you can fuse a Keese Eyeball to your arrow. And this combination of items will make your arrow a real homing missile! In order to do the fuse, do as follows:

  • Pull out your bow.
  • While aiming, press “Up” on your D-Pad.
  • This will open a Menu where you can select a material to attach to an arrow.
  • Scroll through your materials until you find the Keese Eyeball.
  • Press the right stick to confirm.

Now, when you have the arrow with a Keese Eyeball, aim in the general direction of the Flying Monster. Fire the arrow, and the homing missile will hit the monster and bring it down! Finally, approach the monster on the ground, grab the Tower’s terminal, and bring it to Sawson in order to repair the Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower in Zelda TOTK.
