The “Pull” horse stat in Zelda TOTK or Tears of the Kingdom affects how much and how fast that horse can, well, pull. If you’re early in the game still, or haven’t really paid much attention to the stables, you might have completely missed this mechanic. The first step is to earn enough Pony Points by visiting stables, registering horses, etc. Once you have enough, interact with the book that’s in every stable to unlock the towing harness. It will be in the Key Items section of your inventory, but you can’t just use it. Instead, you have to talk to the stable owner. If you have a horse by your side, select “customize horse” and you can attach a harness from there. On the other hand, if you are taking a horse out of a stable, the master will ask if you want to attach the harness.
That’s when the Zelda Tears of the Kingdom or TOTK “Pull” horse stat comes into play. Well, you do first need to use Ultrahand to connect the harness to a wagon or cart. Then you can just hop onto your mount and bring the vehicle with you. This mechanic doesn’t have a ton of use, but it is useful sometimes if you need to transport a bunch of stuff. It is also necessary to unlock the first Great Fairy, Tera. You can upgrade the Pull stat at the horse fairy Malanya. However, there are horses, like Epona, that have no pull stat. This means that you can’t attach the towing harness to them.
