A New Signature Food Zelda TOTK, Hateno Cheese

In Hateno Village, you can get drawn into a series of quests between Cece and Reede. One of these side adventures is “A New Signature Food” and it has you tracking down a food that has a “creamy, melty mouthfeel and it unique, pungent aroma”. The food in question is Hateno Cheese, but to be able to get it, you will first need to do another side adventure. The whole thing can get somewhat confusing, so to help you better understand what you need to do and in what order, our A New Signature Food Zelda TOTK, Hateno Cheese guide is here to set the record straight.

A New Signature Food Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

You’re going to get this side adventure from Reede. At first, you will no doubt be confused as to exactly what sort of food this is, but what you need to do is to find another character – Koyin – and resolve her quest first. We’re going to see how this is done in the next section.

Zelda TOTK Hateno Cheese, A Letter to Koyin

You are going to meet Koyin at the pier next to the pond at the Hateno Farm. When you talk with her, she is going to tell you that she has accidently dropped her grandfather’s message in the middle of the pond. This will begin the “A Letter to Koyin” side adventure. What you need to do is to make your way to the middle of the pond and fish out the bottle with your Ultrahand ability. After that, take the bottle to Koyin. She will be delighted that you have managed to get it for her. She will then leave, so go and speak to her at her home. To thank you for getting this back to her, she will reward you with Hateno Cheese. Take this back to Reede to complete the “A New Signature Food” side adventure.
