How to Catch Fireflies Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you may have noticed tiny glowing insects that appear during nighttime in grassy areas. These are Sunset Fireflies, and they are almost impossible to catch if you don’t know the correct method you need to use to do so. This can be hard to figure out on your own, so we are going to show you exactly how to catch the Sunset Fireflies in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom right here in this guide.
How to Catch Fireflies in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
As previously stated, the Sunset Fireflies only appear during the night. They are very distinct-looking, with a soft glow that you can immediately recognize. But how to approach and catch them? Well, the secret here is to be stealthy and patient. When you see a Firefly, don’t run towards it, as you won’t be able to catch it like that. What you need to do instead is to press down on the left thumb stick. But make sure that you do not move at full speed even while crouched. So what you want to do is to gently push on the thumb stick so that you slowly crouch towards the Fireflies.
When you get close enough to a Firefly, a prompt will pop up to let you know that you can now catch it. You need to act fast here, since the Firefly will start moving away from you as soon as the prompt appears. Once you catch it, you can then use it – alongside other monster parts – to make an elixir that will allow you to move more silently. Also, later on in the game you will come across armor that enhances your stealth. You should equip it before you go Firefly hunting to make this process faster and easier.
