Where to find Phantom Armor
To find the book with hints towards the pieces’ locations, you’ll need to go to the Outpost Ruins in Central Hyrule. The ruins are north of Lake Hylia, and the book is in the southern building, on what remains of a bookshelf. It will tell you the pieces are hidden at a battleground where brave souls tested their skill, at ceremonial grounds where royal guards are honored and at the ruins where to soldiers of Hyrule gathered.
Phantom Helmet
The helmet is hidden in a chest in the Colliseum Ruins, east of the Outskirts Stable, southwest from Hyrule Field. Go in from the north and turn right. You’ll find the chest in one of the alcoves, half-buried. Use magnesis to wiggle it out.
Phantom Armor
The chest piece is at the Sacred Ground Ruins, a bit south from Hyrule Castle. Approach them from the north, and go across the middle circle. The chest is buried in the lower ring, on the south side of the ruins. The magnesis rune will help you here.
Phantom Greaves
The greaves are in the middle of Central Hyrule, at the Hyrule Garrison Ruins, a bit southest from Central Tower. Once you’re there, follow the road going southeast until you see an inactive guardian on your left. There will be a chest next to it, with your prize inside.
It’s not from an enemy. Zelda uses it for convenient reasons in Spitit tracks
It’s also an enemy in Phantom Hourglass
