Where to find Midna’s Helmet
After you’ve started the quest, you’ll need to visit the Outpost Ruins in Central Hyrule and read Misko’s journal. It is sitting on a bookshelf in the southernmost building of the complex. The journal will tell you the mask is at the temple ruins soaked in the waters of Regencia River.
The ruins the book speaks of are in the western part of Central Hyrule, in a shallow part of the river. They’re called the Sage Temple Ruins, and they’re near the place where the two rivers meet. The chest with the helmet is in the northern part of the ruins, under a pile of rubble.
If you’ve played Twilight Princess, you might remember this iconic piece of clothing. It was worn by Link’s sidekick, a nasty, little creature with curious powers. How she managed to support it with that thin little neck of hers remains a mystery. In Breath of the Wild, it will increase your resistance to Guardian attacks. This makes it a perfect accessory for clearing Test of Might shrines, or other similarly Guardian-infested areas.
Sadly, it’s just a helmet, without an armor set to go along with. It looks cool when paired with the Phantom Armor, or any other heavy, plate-based costume, really. Wearing it with a tunic will just make you look silly. If silly is what you’re going for, you’d do better with Tingle’s Outfit.
