Zelda BoTW Player House

Go to Hateno Village in the Necluda region, in the south-east of the map. Get to the south part of the village, past the model houses, across the Firly Pond, right next to the foot of the Ebon mountain. As soon as you cross the bridge, you’ll see a large, dilapidated house. Go behind it, past the apple tree, and you’ll see a couple of construction workers. Talk to the foreman, Bolson (he’s the one in the pink trousers).

He’ll tell you the house is for sale, but it’s not that simple. He’ll ask for 50000 rupees. Tell him you’ll pay, and it will soften him up. He’ll present you with an alternative offer, which will start the Hylian Homeowner quest. All you need to do is get:

  • 3000 rupees
  • 30 wood bundles

You can obtain the bundles by cutting down trees. If you’re having trouble coming up with the money, check out our rupee farming guide. Talk to Bolson again once you have the means to pay, and you’ll get your dream home.

Having a house isn’t there for sentimental reasons only. You can sleep in it. You can store your equipment there, even display it on manequins for visitors to see. Finally, you can tend to your garden, growing plants and trees which can be harvested for resources.

How can you tend to a garden? I don’t see any option to do that. Just an apple tree around the back of the house.
