Zelda Breath of The Wild Cooking Recipes - How to Cook
Cooking is one of the activities you can partake in in Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It allows you to prepare meals from raw ingredients. These meals restore health and stamina, and often have even more effects, like increasing your cold resistance or climbing speed. However, there’s no way to tell which ingredients will produce what meal. Trial and error is the way you find new recipes, and even then, they aren’t recorded anywhere. In this guide, we’re going to show you Zelda Breath of The Wild cooking recipes, how to cook in BoTW.
How to cook in Zelda Breath of The Wild
In order to cook in Zelda BoTW, you’ll need to gather a bunch of ingredients and find a place to cook. You’ll need to find a crock pot for the more advanced meals. If the fire is out, you can use a torch or a flint to start it up. Once you’ve found it, here’s what you should do:
- Open the inventory
- Go to materials tab
- Select the first ingredient and press X to hold
- Select the other ingredients, add them using X, then press B
- Approach the crock pot and press A to start cooking
Simpler foods can be prepared by throwing raw ingredients into an open fire. For example, throwing a piece of meat into the flames will produce a cooked steak. However, these meals will only restore your health.
If you cook during the Blood Moon, your meal will have a random effect added to it. So it’s always wise to run to the nearest cauldron once the sky turns red. Some ingredients, like dragon parts and star fragments, have the same effect on the food. They require an investment, though, so the blood moon option is clearly better.

But wich recipe will make the man happy??
Spicy Meat and Seafood Fry right at the top. Its pretty simple. If you don’t have the required ingredients then get your Hyrule Bass in the pond next to Temple. Get your peppers at his house and the meat either through amiibo or hunting. I personally save time using Bowser amiibo. If anyone struggling with hunting think about getting him maybe?
I love the ability that you can cook, thanks for doing this guide!
