Orange Trees Puzzle Solutions - Shady Trees Trophy

The Witness Orange Trees puzzle solutions guide will help you solve new type of puzzles, which are based on shapes created by the light and shadows. This area is located between the Windmill and the second Castle. Puzzles are divided into two parts, and once you solve them all, you’ll open the gate for the final shady trees puzzle. At the end, you are rewarded with the activation of another laser beam, new Audio file, and Shady Trees Trophy. The greatest reward for a person playing The Witness is solving the puzzles. Using a guide to solve them should be your last resort, when you are at your wits’ end. Orange Tree Puzzles

At the beginning of the forest, you’ll find a door with a blue panel which unlocks the first setup of puzzles. These puzzles are relatively easy. You just have to draw a line between shadows on the panel. The third puzzle is a tricky one, since the bottom part of this puzzle is completely shaded. All you need to do is to open up the gate behind you, then quickly return to solve the puzzle before the gate closes again.The pink puzzles have additional bar shadows on them, which you should ignore, and draw the line between tree shadows.At this point the wire bifurcates in two directions. I turned right and did the blue panel section first. Each section will open up one half of the final gate.

While solving the Blue Panel puzzles, you need to trace shadows instead of avoiding them.

Shady trees purple puzzles

This time shadows are half on the panel, and half on the orange board next to it, or on the rock, wooden fence… You have to look at the objects from different angles, and you will see what to draw on the shadowed part of the panel.

How to solve the final shady trees puzzle

Once you solve all the puzzles, combine the rules that you have learnt in this area. On the left side of the panel follow the shadows, and on the right side avoid the shadows, and you’ll easily solve the last puzzle. Look for the Audio File inside the ruin.
