UPDATE: Several armor sets have had their level requirements changed by patch 1.07, and Bear Gear is one of them. We’ve updated the guide with the new numbers – if the game shows you a lower number, you’re probably playing an older version.
Superior Bear Gear Stats
The Superior Bear Gear has outstanding damage resistance, but the stamina regeneration suffers for it. It also boosts the generation of adrenaline points. You’ll need to be level 30 to use this armor and weapon set.
Superior Ursine Silver Sword
The first diagram is hidden in a cave south-west of the orphanage at Crookback Bog, in Velen. The entrance is hidden behind an illusion, so you’ll need Nehaleni’s Eye, and item you get during the main quest Wandering In The Dark. Use the item to discover the large rocks blocking the entrance aren’t really there. When you enter, go right. The diagram will be waiting for you in a chest.
Superior Ursine Steel Sword
The second diagram is in the Ruined Tower, north-east of Crookback Bog. You’ll have to fight a level 25 Earth Elemental to get it. The chest holding the blueprint is in one of the corners of the ruin.
Superior Ursine Armor, Trousers, Boots and Gauntlets
The rest of the diagrams are a bit north-west of Hanged Man’s Tree, the first signpost you wake up at when you first get to Velen. They are in a cave – there’s wooden scaffolding to the left of the entrance. When you go in, keep going left. You’ll soon stumble upon a bunch of chests – one of them has what you came here for.
Materials You Need For Crafting
The ingredients you’ll need are mostly pretty common – you can get them by dismantling stuff, or you can buy them from a merchant. You’ll need to find a Journeyman armorer and blacksmith to craft these for you.
Able to collect all ursine kit apart from superior silver sword. Where the diagram should be in chest there is no icon to open the chest, bug? Someone help…fully uptdated game….
Sara, i am sorter having the same problem with the silver sword but i collected the diagram ages ago. I completed the game before the last update andhad all the last ursine equipment, so Its not the update as since the second update a few weeks back its made the game worse.. this big update hasnt helped
Man i dont know wats going on but for some reason i was some my chest didnt have all the armor sets like the master n superior gauntlets pants and boots i jus got the chest armor the rest r stuck ln emchanted cause the chest didnt contain them i got my swords on master level same with chest armor but everything else is stuck on enchanted cause there was no upgrade documents n the chests
Where do I get the quest for these diagrams because I have enhanced and there was a quest but is there a treasure hunt for these items? Or must I just go to these places.
I have found all the Ursine armor schematics including all the Mastercraft but when I go to Crow’s Perch to craft them it only shows that I have found the enhanced versions for boots, legs and gloves. It did allow me to craft the mastercraft ursine chest armor but it wont let me craft the rest. I know for a fact that I have collected them all
I ve visited the are for superior armor diagrams but ive only found chestpiece, rest is missing also monster den is active thoug i killed and looted everthing i can. Playing game on ps4, please help me
I had the same problem with the griffin superior set, although i am playing on a non-updated version of the game, dont know if that has anything to do with it or not.
no. there is a higher level called mastercrafted. Not only must you have the diagrams, but you must also unlock the master smiths. for swords, you have to go to Novigrad and complete the quest “Of Swords and Dumplings”. For armor, speak to the smith at crow’s perch and ask him about master armorers. complete the quest and you’ll have that blonde with him cranking out god tier armor for you.
I’m lv. 38 now and still there locations for superior anything aren’t there… Why?

You can just go to these places without the appropriate quest, diagrams are still there.
Is the Scavenger Hunt quest still available if I find first the Superior Armor? I don’t want to miss any quest.
You have to find a different blacksmith for armor and swords. There is a master sword maker in Novigrad

You habe to update to Version 1.04 , the they are in the chest where they are supposed to be. Had the Same problem
