Runewright Location | The Witcher 3: Hearts of Stone

The Runewright is a new craftsman in The Witcher 3, added in the Hearts of Stone expansion. He can enchant your gear with runewords and glyphwords, which give powerful bonuses. You’ll have to find him and help him with something first. In this guide, we’re going to show you where to find the runewright, and how to gain access to his services.

Where to find Runewright

He is located in Upper Mill, east of the lake in the far northeast of Velen. A quest called Enchanting: Start-up Costs will lead you to him – the recommended level for doing it is 32.

When you talk to him, he’ll ask you to give him 5000 Crowns for new tools. After that, he’ll ask for a chunk of jade. Once you bring it to him, he’ll start offering runewrighting services. Keep in mind, these are just the basic tools. If you want him to create better runewords, you’ll have to get him better tools. The advanced tool set will set you back 20,000 Crowns.
