Monster Hair | The Witcher 3
Monster Hair is a crafting material used to make some of the best armor in The Witcher 3. It’s also an ingredient in many alchemy formulas.
If you’re willing to deal with a level 16 Fiend, take a look at our Lesser Red Mutagen Farming guide – it shows a great location for farming Fiends. Dismantling Fiend’s Eye will also give you Monster Eye, another valuable material.
Werewolf Hide is also a good choice, since you come across a werewolf during the Wild At Heart side quest. If you choose to go with Troll Hide, try your luck on Skellige – there’s a decent amount of trolls in the archipelago’s caverns.
Finally, when you have the loot, you’ll need to get to an armorer or a blacksmith. Choose the “dismantle” option from the top left of the shop menu, and the craftsmen will do the job – for a symbolic fee, of course.
In this guide, we’re going to show you how to get monster hair and what to use it on.
