Missing Son

Odhen’s son Olve has apparently not returned from an adventure he set off some time ago, and Odhen wants you to find him. Go to the longhouse by the shore and talk to Odhen. It appears that Olve went with some rogues from Faroe to explore the ruins of a fortress to the east of the village. You’ll spot him by his yellow tunic.

Go southwest, up through the wooded hillside and onto the clearing. You’ll see the ruined castle ahead. Enter the courtyard behind the ruined walls of the castle. You’ll immediately realize that you’ve found yourself in the lair of a huge fiend.

This particular specimen is called Morvudd and has unique markings on its body. It’s time to fight.

The fiend is vulnerable to Relict oil, Samum bomb, and Devil’s Puffball bomb.

When you lower its health significantly, it will spit and blind you temporarily. By the time you regain your sight, the monster will have disappeared.

There is a corpse on the ground nearby, use your Witcher Senses to track the huge hoof prints to the south. Follow them across a stone bridge and the river to the east; you’ll reach a ruined settlement where its lair is. It will attack you at this point, so prepare to finally kill it.

When you’ve killed it, inspect the corpse with the yellow tunic to find out that it’s Olve.

Loot the Morvudd’s corpse to get some ingredients and the trophy.

Head back to Odhen and inform him of his son’s fate, then show him the trophy and collect the reward. The contract is over.
