Blood and Wine DLC Quest Start
There are three ways to go about it:- Continue: This one lets you use your old character to play through the DLC. You’ll need to have finished the A Poet Under Pressure quest before you can embark on the new adventure. Go to Mulbrydale in Velen and check out the notice board. Being at least level 35 is advisable – the weakest enemies you’ll face will be at that level.
- Fresh Start: This option will let you start the entire game anew, with the Blood & Wine content installed. You’ll be able to leave for Toussaint after you’ve finished the quest mentioned above and went to the village of Mulbrydale.
- Blood & Wine Only: If you choose this option, you’ll get a new character at level 35, which will be outfitted adequately and sent to Toussaint. This is a great option if you don’t have your old save files and don’t want to play through the whole game again.
is there a mod or a console command that will let you start the blood and wine quest using “Fresh Start” or “New Game Plus” on the PC without having to do the “Poet Under Pressure” quest first?
I’ve finished the A poet under pressure quest, I am level 38 but when I go to Mulbrydale and check know the notice board there is no blood and wine quest there.. Can anyone offer anymore help please?
I think we got ripped off, my luck.
Did you ever figure this out. I have the same problem
The reason why you can find it on more than one location is because Toussaint, the city that’s the setting for Blood and Wine, has a beast that’s killing people and they need Geralt. They know that he’s somewhere in the north (remember that Toussaint is located to the south of Temeria) but not where exactly since he’s looking for Ciri. So they did what anyone would do when they’re searching for someone: they posted notices on several boards in several villages hoping that Geralt would find one of them. This isn’t a bug or a glitch. It’s common sense. There’s an “offiiclal” start to the expansion and that’s the notice board located in Mulbrydale and it becomes available only after you’ve completed A Poet Under Pressure. Why? Because Dandelion needs to have been rescued before the expansion because he appears IN it. Again, common sense. You can travel to Mulbrydale before this but the notice won’t be there until after you’ve done the quest.
You’re a boss, thank you.
I think i am a little late 🙂 . Anyway this explication doesnt help at all because that quest is a random location mean you wont find it till you suicide yourself or viceversa 😐 , spend hours to find it and guess what , you cant. If you search a little bit on google you will notice more than one location so basicaly is fucked up the game:|
The game is fun but I still can’t get into the harts of stone and blood and wine
I just bought the complete edition but both “Hearts of Stone Only” and “Blood and Wine Only” are disabled. Can you please explain how do I start the expansions without playing the main game
The only way you can do it, is to find a save with all DLC prerequisites completed.
cheers, gonna start a new game and go right to novigrad
