Grandmaster Wolf Armor is the new final upgrade for the Wolven Gear Set in The Witcher 3: Blood & Wine. Your character has to reach level 40 before you can equip it.

You’ll have to collect a bunch of crafting schematics and find the right craftsman if you want to further enhance your Mastercrafted Wolf Armor. This guide will show you where to find Grandmaster Wolf Gear in Witcher 3, its stats and what it looks like.
Go to the Termes Palace Ruins, east of Beauclair. Take the purple ruby left from the entrance and use it to lower the forcefield. You’re going to be swarmed by Barghests. The only way to clear them out for certain is to find and kill the Wraiths that summon them. Follow the corridor, using Aard to break through cracked walls. Once you’re out of the cave and back in the ruins, turn left. There will be a satchel on the floor in the first room you enter, with the three diagrams.
After you take the previous three, turn around and go back into the room you came from. Keep going forward into a small room damaged by rockfall. There will be a corpse on the ground, with the rest of the diagrams.
Grandmaster Wolf Gear Stats
Your favourite medium armor set is going to be better than ever – providing more sign intensity, attack power, adrenaline point gain and damage resistance than ever. You’ll need to get to level 40 if you want to use it. Here are the specific set bonuses:
3/6 pieces: apply up to three oils to a sword at the same time
6/6 pieces: lets you throw bombs without delay

Grandmaster Wolven Gear Crafting Requirements
Here’s what you’ll need to gather in order to craft these improvements:
1. NG+ starts by making level 1 whatever level your character is currently on after finishing the game and DLCs. The. The armor requirements are added on top of that. If you started NG+ on level 55 then the minimum level for griffin set (LV 10 in base game) is 65 and so on.
2. Armor sets that don’t exist in regular game can be directly grandmastercrafted in Blood and Wine, no need for previous sets. This includes wolven since it was a DLC.
Does anyone figured out what set bonuses does? I just dont know what is the point of having 3 oils at the same time, when they wear off at the same time… and also that instant bomb thing, i dont understand what its supposs to do. I thought it’s like instant cast so you will just throw bombs right away without animations or something but no. Does anyone know?
I took the note from the archeologist camp but wasn’t moved on to the next part of the quest, now can’t disable force field even with ruby in the correct place.
I don’t know why, but I am not able to upgrade my current mastercrafted wolven set to Grandmaster, just to craft a new one. The items doesn’t even have the mastercrafted as ingredients. Because of that, I’ll have to craft the runewrights again. I done the quest for the diagrams normally. Did I miss something, or is it just a bug?
I was able to make the grandmaster wolven armor without the master, but when I went to make the ursine, it wanted the master ursine armor. Maybe a glitch?
There’s a bug for many people that keeps them from getting the basic wolven armor and then obviously the upgraded armor because of that. They refuse to fix it for some reason but made it so the grandmaster armor doesn’t require any previous levels so at least we can get that
Oddly enough, even though it states right here that we need the Mastercrafted gear, I was able to build the entire set without sacrificing mine. Weird.
Yeah I had the same thing, didn’t need mastercrafted to upgrade to grandmaster, but what I’m asking is can all the armour be upgraded from legendary mastercrafted to legendary grandmaster gear? If so does anyone have pictures of the stats?
@Samphaa YES YOU CAN. My set are all LEGENDARY GRANDMASTER SETS, MINIMUM LEVEL REQUIRED IS 74. All I did is load a finished game, play new game plus, go to tavern in white orchard, use debug console and type in “witchcraft” this will result to have every item in the game, pick all your favorite items, put it on your storage, and type “clear develop”. You will go back to basic item, and guess what, you can use the items you pick from the storage to play. If you cant put items in storage just drop it in the ground before you clear develop. And dont forget before you type witchcraft make sure you have level 99 or 100 or something. To do that just type “setlevel(99)” or (100). Because if you type witchcraft on low level character, all the spawned item will also be low level. :))
Mr. No. the way to solve that issue is to turn all your mods off go into the game and then dismantle it giving you stomach and saliva of monster. I believe the mod “Increased Creature loot” or “SLOTS SLOTS SLOTS” is what is messing with the scripts there. Good luck

Just noticed at the comments that in NG+ you can’t upgrade the mastercrafted. That is really stupid, we should have the option to choose.

Same here all armor needed master except for wolf.
I believe it’s because Wolven set is a DLC set. So someone without the DLC but with B&W can still craft the set.

You don’t need the mastercrafted gear at all, and it’s not an option. I tried.

i can get out of the cript ….. the force field tuned on and i’m stuck in this cave wtf 🙁 thsi is stupid.

Try dismantling Cockatrice stomachs.
You only get blood and saliva from dismantling cockatrice stomachs.
