Quest Text

During his travels through Velen, Geralt survived many a bizarre adventure, but few more memorable than that which I will now recount. For who would have thought a routine stop in a village strangely empty save a few bandits arguing with a local dunce would end in such a curious fashion? The witcher surely didn’t, though he did have his suspicions. After he dealt with the bandits and talked to the fool, Yontek, he set about visiting the village’s huts and the pigs who dwelt in them. Yes, that’s right – pigs.

Walkthrough

Following contains quest spoilers. You’ve been warned

Defeat the looters and talk to Yontek.

Talk with bandits roasting a pig on a campfire. At this point you can choose to accept or refuse the quest by interfering with the case or not.
Choice 1

Leave him alone or you’ll regret it.

You save Yontek.
Choice 2

I’m staying out of this.

Use your Witcher Senses to examine the pigs in the village of Lurtch.

Enter some of the houses in the village and examine the pigs found there.

Find the hog hut.

Defeat the bandits and go through the portal unveiled by the examining of the stone door.

Look for clues in the hog hut using your Witcher Senses.

The final clue is found at the end of the room, in front of the large pig statue.

Talk to Yontek

Before you can do this, you have to defeat the wolves attacking the pigs.

Gather all the cursed pigs.

Use the Axii Sign to make the cursed pigs follow you. They can be found in houses. One Axii cast is enough to make all of them in your vicinity go toward the windmill. You don’t have to follow or guide them.

Escort Yontek and the cursed pigs to the hog hut.

There are a couple of monsters on your way to the nearest crossroad. Defeat them before they go for the pigs. Luckily, you don’t have to follow them all the way to the cave.

Conclusion.

In the end, you’ll choose Yontek’s destiny. If you are looking for more giggles, be sure to visit the village once more and listen to the villagers.
Choice 1

Won’t let you hurt him.

You save Yontek, but he is outcast from the village.
Choice 2

Helped enough. Not my concern anymore.

If it’s a level 6 quest, why is one of those mobs that attacks when escorting the pigs a level 12? Such stupidity to have to face a mob the game tells you tomavoid because at it’s level it’ll kill you.

So, after checking on the pigs inside the houses right after starting the quest, I came out and saw Yontek casting some spell, waving his glowing hand about. I was running right up to him and hit X to speak as soon as possible so I didn’t get to see what that was all about. It’s not mentioned at all during the quest. Anybody know what that’s all about?

He was just mumbling trying to change the pigs back, with no luck.

I think what they meant is that is the highest level you can complete it while it is still green instead of grey writing, grey meaning you are a much higher level than the quest recomments
