Death By Fire is a secondary quest you can happen upon while exploring Velen in The Witcher 3.

Quest Text

Men can be terribly cruel, especially to those of different races.

The witcher had seen humans persecute nonhumans far too often. This time he witnessed a particularly appalling scene – a group of thugs wanting to burn a she-elf alive.

Additional Info

If you find yourself traveling the roads around Codger’s Quarry, you should see a hut set on fire by bandits.

Walkthrough

Following contains quest spoilers. You’ve been warned

Defeat the bandits

Kill the bandits as quickly as you can.

Clear the blockage

Use the Aard sign to break down the door of the hut.

Talk to the survivor

Talk to the elf you’ve saved, and listen carefully while she explains where to find the stash.

    So I said third option. Killed them all. One of the guys flew into the door as I killed him. Killed the rest. Went inside house and elf was no where to be found… lol gave up looking. Walked away onto my main task and failed quest. Q_Q Was probably nothing good in stash for me anyway. The areas seems like Lv5-7 ish area. I’m 12 at the time.

      Nvm. Thank the maker for the games active checkpoint saves. Found a save right before the event. Woot. Although wasnt much coin but better then nothing. lol
