Ballad Heroes - DLC Gwent Card Set | The Witcher 3
Ballad Heroes – Gwent Card Set is a part of the 8th free Witcher 3 DLC. This is a rather small 6-13mb update.
It doesn’t add any new cards – instead you receive new skins for already owned neutral cards. Since there are 10 neutral cards, this means 10 new skins. In the guide below you can check their new and old look. If you are a passionate gwent collector, we have a Gwent Cards List guide for you.
Note: You don’t have to buy or acquire them again, but in order to see the new skins you have to own those neutral cards.
To check if you own any neutral cards, start the game. Once inside the game, you can use the Gwent Deck option from the menu to open the deck tabs (“H” is the keyboard shortcut). This is where all cards you own will show up.
Where to find or buy new Ballad Heroes, Gwent Card Set?
In order to get the new skins, you’ll have to check the DLC content and install the Ballad Heroes – Gwent Card Set update. This update allows you to receive new skins for any of the owned neutral cards. As you may already know, these are the cards that you can use in any deck.Note: You don’t have to buy or acquire them again, but in order to see the new skins you have to own those neutral cards.

MORE CONTENT IN Witcher 3
It isn’t something you can turn on or off like the alternative skins for characters. All it does once downloaded is change the picture on a few cards. Doesn’t give you new cards or add any new cards to collect at all. If you had a neutral card you will notice its picture is now different. If you find a neutral card it will come with the new picture so you won’t even notice anything because you didn’t know how it looked before. As for multiples of hero cards I’m not sure. Maybe now they have added new game+ and you get to keep your old set of cards then you could get multiples but I’m not sure as I haven’t tried a new game+ yet. (New game+ is downloadable and lets you start a new game with all the gear you FINISHED the game with)
Gwent cards do not carry over in New Game Plus mode. You have to collect them all over again.
And yes you can actually turn the alternate skins for the cards on and off. In the Downloadable Content part of the Main Menu, you should see Installed and Options. Installed is where you can make sure your DLCs are properly installed and Options is where you can toggle On and Off the alternate outfits for Yen, Triss and Ciri as well as the alternate skins for the Ballad Heroes cards.
I don’t see those cards anywhere and I have double checked that it’s downloaded and installed. Same for the armor and the pig town quest they are not anywhere to be found. I even have started 3 card games and I still have the same cards I cannot win with. There has to be a glitch with the installed downloads for PS4. I going to try and remove all of the downloads as they are just using hard drive space. I have exited and restarted the game 3 times checked notifications / downloads and shows all 8 of them installed. I am stumped as like I stated they must be faulty with the PS4. I am 63 and have been playing video games for decades and I know how to download and install and check and they are on the hard drive installed to witcher 3 however they are not accessible.
Ron YOU HAVE TO ALREADY OWN THESE NEUTRAL CARDS FROM PLAYING THE GAME TO BE ABLE TO USE THE NEW SKINS. THIS DLC DOES NOT GIVE CARDS AT ALL JUST NEW LOOKS TO CARDS YOU ALREADY OWN
Just got The Witcher 3 today and I downloaded and installed all the free dlc today on ps4. The Gwent cards dlc where it changes the skin of the hero cards is not working. It does not show up in the options menu under the downloable content tab. I see Triss and Yennifers dlc skins where you can toggle them on or off. I also see the temarian armor set in white orchard for sell so other dlc is active but the Ballard heros Gwent dlc is not. I own Zoltan Chivay which is a hero card. I deleted that Ballard heros Gwent dlc from the PS4 and then downloaded it again but still did not show up in downloadable content tab. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

In picture of the DLC Geralt of Rivia card art it shows having x2 of the card, is there away to get multiple of this card in the game? Same with the Ciri card, Villentretenmerth, Vesemir. and Zoltan Chivay.
It is a skin mate, it replaces the cards on the left, with the ones on the right.
That’s not what he was asking. But what he wants to know i also do, can you get multiple of these cards?
That’s not what he’s talking about. in the lower left corner of the card there is a number showing x1, x2 or x3 … the number of copies of that card you own.
He wasn’t asking about the skins, he was wanting to know if you can get multiples of these cards. And I think you can, but I’m not 100% sure
Only by cheating and adding multiple cards by using the Debug Console.
