You’ve been warned
Find the troubadour’s “beloved.”
If you find yourself in the southeastern part of Ard Skellig, head east from the Palisade along the path through the woods, then turn northeast and look for a secondary track that leads to the entrance to a cave.
When you enter the cave, you will hear the cries of a troubadour. He will implore you not to wake his "belowed". Go deeper into the cave until you reach its end. You will wake a grotesque and contorted creature. It seems that the troubadour’s "beloved" is a water hag. Kill her and collect the ingredients from her corpse. The troubadour will disappear and the quest will end.

I think what they’re referring to is to the quest itself. “Troubadour’s ‘beloved’ is a water hag.” – If you were to finish this quest, you were to kill his beloved. Therefore this love story (in any case in fact) isn’t a happy one.
What do you mean by “shouldn’t be undertaken by those who want their love stories to end happily” I am at my 3’rd playthrough because I somehow fucked up my second one and Geralt died so mainly I want a happy ending with Triss is this affecting that?
