Accept Theodora's Help or Not in Rogue Trader
As a veteran of Owlcat Games’ critically acclaimed titles like Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, I’m well aware of the crucial impact my decisions have in their RPGs. Rest assured, the same holds true for their latest masterpiece, Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader. If you are uncertain whether to accept Thedora’s help on the Upper Decks in Rogue Trader, we can provide guidance in making this first decision.
Accept Theodora’s Help or Not in Warhammer 40000 Rogue Trader
What happens if you accept Theodora’s help in Warhammer 40k Rogue Trader? You’ll come across the first choice during the Rogue Trader Prologue. In the early part of Rogue Trader, you meet Theodora, who appears from fire and offers to help you on the Upper Decks. But watch out! Sister Argenta warns you that Theodora is actually just an illusion, linked to the chaos. If you take Theodora’s help even after Argenta’s warning, you’re basically saying “yes” to becoming a heretic. So, if you don’t want that, don’t take Theodora’s help.
- (Dogmatic) [Walk through the Fire] “The Emperor will guide the righteous on their path.”
- (Heretical) [Accept the offer of help] “Take my pain away. And give me power.”
- (Iconoclast) [Get the people off the bridge] “I will not leave my people in harm’s way!”
Accepting Theodora’s help teleports you to a special room – the Rogue Trader’s armory. Inside this room you can find a special chaos weapon called the “Corrupted Inferno Pistol“. But be warned, to use this powerful weapon, you must have Melta Weapon Proficiency and Heretical Adherent Conviction rank. Also, if you do accept, you’ll have a special event where ghosts of the fallen crew hunt you. Without big spoilers your best option is to choose “Kneel before the Rogue Trader! Your lives belong to me!.” choice if you want to continue down this path.
