Valheim Christmas Tree - Yule Tree

Christmas tree is a decoration in Valheim. It’s a pine tree with festive ornaments, and it can be used to increase your comfort level. However, unlike other pieces of furniture that serve the same purpose, you can’t just craft it whenever you like. How to get Christmas tree?

The only way we know of getting the Christmas tree at this point is by cheating. People who took part in the beta test are able to obtain these trees legitimately – the rest of use are stuck with using console commands.

Here’s what you need to do to get the Christmas tree decoration:

1. Press F5 to access the console
2. Type “imacheater” (without the quotation marks) and press Enter
3. Type “debugmode” (without the quotation marks) and press Enter
4. Close the console
5. Equip your hammer and open up the crafting menu
6. Go to the Furniture tab and find the Christmas tree
7. Place it wherever you want

Keep in mind that you will need an upgraded workbench, and you will have to have the required materials – ten wood and one fir cone. Since you’re already cheating, you could always look into ways of giving yourself the materials magically.

Once placed, the Yule tree will give you an additional one point of comfort. This means roughly one more minute of the rested buff, which can be the difference between life or death out in the islands.

Since the game is in early access, and you’ll be messing with stuff behind the curtain, we suggest you backup your save before doing so. That way, if anything goes wrong, you’ll have an anchor point to return to safely. Better safe than sorry and all that.
