Tekken 7 Debuts in First Place on UK Sales Charts

After its release last week, Tekken 7 has been garnering a lot of attention and positive reviews. Unsurprisingly, sales for such a highly-anticipated game are pretty high. In fact, Tekken 7 debuted at the top spot of the UK sales charts, while Injustice 2 fell to third place. Other games in the top-ten include Overwatch, GTA V, Prey, and so on.

Tekken 7 Debuts in First Place on UK Sales Charts

Tekken 7 launched last week, and it seems it’s selling like hot cakes. Not much of a surprise, considering that gamers worldwide have been waiting for it a long time. Despite the pretty horrible connectivity issues with Tekken 7, the game is flying of the shelves, helping it debut in the first place of UK sales charts, dethroning Injustice 2 after two weeks at the top.

The rest of the top-ten list looks pretty much as you’d expect. Interestingly, though, Breath of the Wild has fallen off, and Horizon Zero Dawn has returned to eighth place. Overwatch is still in second place from last week, having made a comeback after the anniversary event kicked off. As usual, GTA V is still in the top five, as is FIFA 17. Other games on the list include Prey, Ghost Recon: Wildlands, Rocket League and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

Below is the top-ten list as it stands this weeks. Bear in mind that the statistics don’t take digital sales into account, only physical copies. Of course, the list would probably be pretty different if digital sales were included. One imagines Rocket League or some similar game would be glued to the top spot.

  1. Tekken 7
  2. Overwatch
  3. Injustice 2
  4. GTA 5
  5. FIFA 17
  6. Prey
  7. Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands
  8. Horizon Zero Dawn
  9. Rocket League
  10. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

Tekken 7 is now available for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. For more information on the game, check out our Tekken 7 articles, such as Tekken 7 Day 1 Update, How to Get Eliza, and more.
