How to promote community member to leader

In order to promote a community member to leader, they’ll first have to become a hero. Only heroes are eligible for this position. Just send them out on missions so they gather XP, and they’ll soon get there. As soon as you have at least one, you can promote them.

Open the community tab in the menu, and you’ll see an empty space in the middle, with a yellow glow around it and a golden eagle on the ground. Highlight that space and press A on the controller or space on the keyboard. This will take you to a dialogue that lists all your heroes. You’ll be able to see their traits and skills, and what benefits they’d provide for the community if you were to choose them. Some will improve your offensive or defensive capabilities, while others will increase production of resources in home base.

How to change leader

There’s no comfortable way to change your leader, so make sure you choose the best person for the job. If you really want to change the leader of your community, you’ll have to get them out of the picture completely. This means either killing them off, by taking control of them and sending them on a suicide mission, or exiling them from the community menu. Either way, you’ll lose a skilled member of your community, so think twice before you decide on a coup.
