State of Decay 2 How to Farm Influence Points
Influence is the main currency in State of Decay 2. These points are used for everything from claiming bases and upgrading facilities, to buying gear from exotic traders. You’re going to earn them by playing the game – most activities reward you with some amount. However, you won’t get much this way. If you want to maximize your profit, you’ll have to farm influence. This guide is going to show you how to farm influence points in State of Decay 2.
How to earn influence
The best way to earn influence is to sell luxury items to traders. For example, a bag of treats can be sold for around 35 points. In order to make the most of this, you’ll have to have a way to reliably obtain said goods. A good way to do this is by having a still in your home base. It will produce whiskey on a regular basis, which means you only have to sell it every once in a while.
Taking down a heart of the plague will reward you with 100 influence. There’s a limited amount of them on each map, and they can be difficult to destroy, however, the reward makes it worthwhile. Make sure you have a 50 caliber rifle or a stock of Molotov cocktails.
Helping the survivors you run into in the wild will also reward you with influence points. The amounts will be small, but they accumulate over time, and their quests are never that hard. You’ll also get 5-15 influence for taking down special zombies, so make sure you prioritize them over the regular kind.
If you know of a good way to earn influence other than the ones we’ve mentioned, feel free to leave a comment. We’ll include new methods in the guide as we discover them.
