Starfield Ocean Biome for Planet Survey Completion
In our Starfield Ocean Biome for Planet Survey Completion guide, we will explain the easiest way to find an Ocean Biome and scan it to 100% survey a planet. It’s something a lot of people have been having trouble with, even though it should be relatively easy. Some people forget that they can land literally anywhere on any planet, so they end up in the middle of nowhere, hundreds of miles away from the sea. Others can find the ocean but don’t know what to do about it. Well, don’t you worry, we’re here to help.
How to Find Ocean Biome Starfield Planet Survey Completion
To find an ocean biome in Starfield, which is necessary for the completion of a planet survey, you have to land in a biome that has (COAST) in its name. This denotes that the area is near the ocean, and going there will drop you closer to the water. Basically, as you are flying around the planet, try to touch down as close to the sea as you possibly can. Once on the surface, open the map (“G” on the keyboard) and look for a large swath of area that’s flat. It’s even easier if you see tall terrain that suddenly plummets down and remains flat for a good, long time. For an example, check out our screenshots below. Walk to the edge of the water (don’t touch it, since it can be toxic sometimes) and use your Scanner. This should finally find that missing last fauna for 100% survey completion.
And there you go, that’s how you find an ocean biome in Starfield needed for the planet survey completion. Obviously, there will be times when you have to run along the coast until you come across the last bit of flora or fauna that you’re missing. Also, there appears to be some kind of bug where you don’t get the 100% even if you’ve gotten every single biome to 100%. The solution, it seems is to step to the edge of the water and open the scanner. It won’t always work, necessarily, but it’s worth a shot.
