Increase Carrying Capacity Starfield
In most games – and RPGs in particular – you will always want to carry as much stuff around with you as possible. This includes not just gear such as weapons and armor, healing items, crafting materials, but all manner of items. After all, you never know when you’ll be needing them. Naturally carrying capacity is also present in Starfield as well. Though it comes in the form of mass and not weight like in most games. But is there anything that you can do to increase your Starfield carrying capacity? You’ll be happy to learn that this is indeed possible, and in this guide, we are going to show you how you can do this.
How to Increase Carrying Capacity in Starfield
There are several ways for players to increase their carrying capacity in Starfield. The first of these is to level up your Weight Lifting skill. As its name suggests, increasing this skill will allow you to carry more. Additionally, you can also move your unwanted items over to your ship. These are then stored in the ship’s cargo hold. Naturally, the cargo bay can also be expanded – either by purchasing additional storage modules, or by upgrading the existing storage modules. Lastly, there are going to be outposts with chests for you to store items in as well.
Starfield Increase Companion Carrying Capacity
Since this is a Bethesda game after all, of course that it is possible to give your items to companions and have them carry them for you. A joke that goes all the way back to Skyrim is that companions only exist to be your pack mules. Your companions can fulfil this function for you in Starfield as well, though some of them will be better suited for this task than others. If a companion also has the Weight Lifting skill, then they can likewise increase it and be able to carry even more.
