The first trailer for Star Wars Battlefront 2 was supposed to premiere on April 15th at Star Wars Celebration. However, a thirty-second version of the trailer has leaked not long ago, because this is the Internet. You can’t hide anything. This might not be the full version, but it’s more than enough to whet the appetite of any Star Wars fan.

The trailer promises that we’ll follow “the untold soldier’s story” that goes “across all eras”. The first thing we get to see is the explosion of the Death Star from the surface of Endor. However, we also see the battle of Hoth and TIE fighters flying off Starkiller Base. On top of that, the trailer shows us Kylo Ren, Rey running through the jungle, and Darth Maul that appears to be squaring off against none other than Yoda.

It appears that the trailer is hinting that we’ll be following a soldier from either the Empire or the Rebellion, and it might cover the entire time span between Phantom Menace and The Last Jedi. Sounds like a pretty cool story to complement the multiplayer, which will probably still be the main crux of the game. In fact, preordering the game will get you Hero characters from The Last Jedi. Interesting offer, EA, since the movie isn’t even close to out yet.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 should be released some time in the third quarter of 2017. It’ll come out for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
