Sons of the Forest Roof Building, Slanted Roof Guide
In Sons of the Forest, you are going to be doing a lot of building. Once you gather the necessary materials, you will want to make a better base of operations for yourselves. Something that feels more like a home than the tent you were sleeping at before. We’re talking about – a house, of course. And, as we all know, one of the most important parts of a house is – the roof. After all, without it, the house doesn’t really have much of a point to it. So to help make a house complete with a roof on top, we’re going to show you everything you need to know about building a roof, including a slanted roof, in this Sons of the Forest guide.
How to Build Roof in Sons of the Forest
Once you have constructed the foundations of your house and erected the walls, the next step is to then get up on top of where the roof should be and to place the chopped logs there until you have a roof that has completely closed the hole there. And if you want a slanted roof, that’s a bit more complex, as we’ll see in the next section.
How to Make Slanted Roof in Sons of the Forest
Same as with the regular roof, place the building foundations and walls first. Then, take a log and place it on the side of the support beam. After that, take a half log and put it under the beam and support beam. This is going to transform this from half a triangle into half a T shape. Go up and place a log at the end of this structure and another log to support it. It should look like our screenshot below. Once you make enough of these, put the logs and you will have formed a slanted roof. And to fill in the holes at the sides, you are going to need half logs. Make them and then place them to fill up the holes.
