The most interesting addition in the Crews of Rage update are the Chests of Rage. These cursed chests slowly get hotter and hotter. You can prevent this by dunking them into the sea or splashing them with a bucket of water. Leave them unattended for too long, however, and they’ll unleash a wave of fire that will set your ship ablaze. Yes, they absolutely can sink your ship. On the other hand, you can use the blast to your advantage if there’s enemies around the chest by shooting it. Just make sure you or your fellow pirates aren’t nearby.

There are several ways of getting your hands on a Chest of Rage. For example, you can complete a limited-time Bounty of Rage Voyage, obtainable from Duke. Sometimes, you’ll find the chest in the open world at random. Lastly, it’s a guaranteed drop for completing the Molten Sands Fortress in the Devil’s Roar. Which, incidentally, is the only Skeleton Fort currently active. Once you have a Chest of Rage, you can sell it to the Gold Hoarders, as well as the Masked Stranger for twice the gold, if you feel like visiting Reaper’s Hideout.

There’s a ton of other stuff in the update, as well, including the remaining Tomes, a potion that lets you re-roll your character’s looks while keeping all your stuff, and tons and tons of cosmetics, a lot of which are themed after Valentine’s Day. Which, yes, is already over, but the month of love keeps on going in Sea of Thieves. You can check it all out in the video below.
