How to Lower Iron Spike Fence Around the Coffin

To lower the iron spike fence around the coffin in the hanging torch and coffin puzzle in Resident Evil 8 Village, the first thing you need to do is pick up the pipe bomb from the little niche immediately to the right of the door. It has a few candles next to it, so you can’t miss it. After you get the bomb, look to the left of the coffin, and you’ll see a huge crack in the wall. Use the explosive to blow it up and reveal a tall brazier that’s already on fire. Who kept it alight and how, don’t ask me.

Once you reveal the burning brazier, the first thing to do is to push the left hanging torch towards the fire. The easiest way to do so is to use your pistol and fire at the torch to swing it all the way to the flames. You should also be able to do so with a knife, if you want to save ammo, but it’s harder than with bullets. After you set the left torch alight, you have to swing the right and left ones towards each other until they’re both ablaze.

That’s how you solve the hanging torch and coffin puzzle in Resident Evil 8 Village and lower the iron spike fence around the coffin. Open said coffin, and you’ll get the Azure Eye treasure. Incidentally, you won’t be able to open this chamber the first time you go through the area. You have to play the game until you get the Iron Insignia Key, then go back to unlock the iron door.
