Resident Evil 7 Biohazard - Release Date
Resident Evil 7 Biohazard will be released worldwide on January 24, 2017 and January 26, 2017 in Japan. It will be released for the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.For those of you that don’t know, Resident Evil 7 is an upcoming first-person survival horror video game. PlayStation 4 users can also play this title with the VR headset for an even more immersive horror gameplay experience.
We also had the chance to try out the demo for RE 7. It was packed with multiple scary sequences and some heart-stopping environments. The teaser demo featured multiple endings and hopefully the full version will have even more for us to discover.
We will be playing as Ethan Winters, who is searching for his missing wife. The story will take us into a derelict mansion on a plantation, the home of the Baker family. As we play, we will be able to discover interesting secrets about the family itself and the mansion’s notorious inhabitants. There will be pistols, shotguns, flamethrowers, explosives and even chainsaws for the main protagonist Ethan to use, as he tries to survive the horrors in the mansion itself.
According to the developers, we should not expect much gun play, since the game revolves around good storytelling and survival elements. We can expect a lot of puzzle-solving and resource management. The good news is that there will not be any quick time events that can really ruin the immersion.
Resident Evil 7 Biohazard started its development in February 2014 using the RE Engine, which includes VR development tools.
If you purchase the Gamestop Collector’s Edition, you will get an eight-inch model of the Baker mansion which serves as a music box. You will also get the a mannequin-finger-shaped 4-GB USB flash drive within a VHS tape box, a lithograph of the Baker family and a note. The UK version adds the Survival Pack: Action Set DLC, a 20th anniversary artbook and a seven-inch replica of the mansion, but does not feature the music box.
