Resident Evil 3 Remake Dinosaur Mod Turns Game into Dino Crisis

There’s a new mod out for the Resident Evil 3 remake, continuing the proud folklore of weird mods for the new RE games. This one, called Dino Evil 3, does its best to turn RE3 into Dino Crisis. Basically, what it does is turn all the zombies into (admittedly strange-looking) T-Rexes, and Jill into Regina, one of the characters from the 1999 survival horror-meets-Jurassic Park game.

Different exotic mods for Resident Evil remakes have become something of a tradition. From mods putting Mr X into a thong in the RE2 remake to turning him into Thomas the Tank Engine, it’s a lovely, lawless place. And, of course we’re also getting mods for the remake of Resident Evil 3. One such mod is Dino Evil 3, which turns zombies into growth-stunted Tyrannosauruses and Jill into Regina from Dino Crisis. Sure, it’s not Nemesis in a thong, but it’s still pretty fun.

Now, to be fair, as you can see in the video below, the mod is still fairly fresh, meaning that there is still some jankiness to it. Which, to be even more fair, is to be expected with a v0.1 mod. Sure, there’s only one type of dinosaur, and they can get stuck in rooms. And yes, there are some really funny graphical glitches. That said, I assume the mod’s creator, Darknessvaltier, is going to work on the project further and add a few layers of polish. Or not; I’d be fine with that, because this is hilarious.

So, yeah; if you want to download the Dino Evil 3 mod, you can do so via NexusMods. As usual, you have all the info and installation instructions you need right there on the page, including some Q&A on what to do if the mod is not playing nocely with the game. And why wouldn’t you want to blast through tiny T-Rexes that go ape if they come across a fence?
