Watson’s Cabin in RDR2 is one of the several homestead stash locations you can find. Like many other homestead stashes in Red Dead Redemption 2, Watson’s Cabin requires you to go through several steps to get the stash itself. These include fooling and robbing an old lady, and then murdering her sons and looting the house. All in a day’s work for a bandit of your caliber. if you’re having trouble with this homestead stash, here’s our Red Dead Redemption 2 Watson’s Cabin Location & Solution guide to show you exactly where to find and how to get the homestead stash.
Where to Find Watson’s Cabin Location in RDR2?
To find the location of Watson’s Cabin in Red Dead Redemption 2, you have to go south of the border between Grizzlies West and West Elizabeth. There’s a river there, running parallel to the border. Said river is called Little Creek River, and Watson’s Cabin is northeast of the word River on the map. Basically, it’s easiest to first make your way to Wallace Station. From here, head west by northwest. Keep going that way until you reach Watson’s Cabin.
Watson’s Cabin is one of several homestead stash robberies you can pull off in the game. These earn you the Breaking and Entering trophy, among other things. You only need four for the achievement, but why stop there, when you can earn a pretty chunk of change in every one of them? The catch with Watson’s Cabin is that it isn’t really the easiest of the bunch to solve. In fact, it’s a little bit of a puzzle in its own right. Which brings us to our next point…
How to Get Watson’s Cabin RDR2 Homestead Stash?
To get the Watson’s Cabin Homestead stash in RDR2, you’re gonna have to go through several steps. Plus, you’re really gonna have to be a ruthless crook, but you are a criminal. Once you reach Watson’s Cabin, listen to the old lady that lives there speak. She’ll mistake you for another person, and that’s your ticket to go into the back of the cabin. Use the ladders and go down into the basement. There’s a semi-automatic shotgun up for grabs inside a case, so nab it and get outta there. Leave the lady alone.
Make a camp and wait until a day or so passes. Or go and do something else, and return after a day or two. You’ll now hear the old lady’s four sons arguing about something or other in the cabin. As soon as they lay eyes on you, they’ll attack you. There doesn’t seem to be anything you can do to reason with them. So, you basically have no other recourse than to kill them all. After you dispatch them, loot everything in sight. The homestead stash is a lockbox that you’ll find on a table in the kitchen. There should be some $73 or so in there. Oh, and you can also kill the old lady, if you want to, but it’s not a must.

No one’s asking the real question. Which one is Edgar Watson and is it possible to hogtie him for the $500 bounty? After killing them and coming back later there’s a scrapbook page with the bounty on it where the lockbox was.
I killed the lady during the first encounter, and when I came back I had a hiccup with my deadly and the sons killed me. Is there a way to come back and find them again or loot the box on the table?
I hogtied the old broad and rode off lookin for some pigs to feed her to.
I was playing after the epilogue with john and decided to go back to this cabin. I walked in and to my surprise found her corpse. I wanted to get a good look at her face (cause im weird like that) and i noticed something disturbing. Her eyelids where closing and opening. It also seemed like here forehead was moving softly. I don’t get scared very easily but this made me jump. Then the option to check the bed came up. I was reluctant to at first (because i thought she was gonna jump scare me) but I did it anyway. after I did this nothing happened besides John commentating her stench. This seemed super weird to me because it really felt like she was alive. I didn’t notice anything else weird but I left her a stick of dynamite just to make sure she was really gone. Just curious if anybody else has had this encounter and has any explanation. ..
Can you get the old lady back after you already killed her ?
Or if she dies is she dead for good??
You monster!
Can I still get the lockbox if I killed the old lady as soon as I got there? ?
Sure can! I shot her with the semi auto shotgun. Camped out. Came back. Killed the boys. Got the lock box.
Glitch: I was also able to loot the jewelry and coin purse a second time.
I shot the kids and hog tied the old lady. I came back later in my game and the old lady was dead in the bed.
I shot the old lady, got jewelry from two of the nightstand in her bedroom, got the semi auto shotgun from the basement. Rode south, found a campsite off the trail to the right killed and looted them. By the time i was done with that it was daylight so i rode back and went in the cabin. The boys ambushed me, i killed them and the lockbox was on the table with money clip.
How much money was in the lockbox ?
$73.00
Says its north of strawberry in the game. Who the hell made that decision? Its way closer to valentine, its like dead North of valentine why would strawberry even be mentioned in the description?
It’s very much not north of Valentine, nor is it close to Valentine; at least, it wasn’t for us. If you take a look at the map in the guide, you’ll see that it’s waaay to the west of Valentine.
It’s more like due west of Wallace station, or that’s what I would have said if I were giving directions to Arthur, Wallace station is a bit of an outpost, not a town like Strawberry or Valentine but it’s probably on a map at the railway station in Valentine.
As i was riding my horse i found a prisoner near strawberry. He asked me to shoot his leg chains in exchange for a tip about this cabin.Soo i suppose thats the reason that mentions strawberry an not valentine.
That’s Northeast of the word “River”. Not Northwest.
Thanks for the heads up, it’s fixed now.
