Red Dead Redemption 2 Shacks Locations Map
Shacks are special buildings in Red Dead Redemption 2. There’s only a handful of them, and they look nothing out of the ordinary from the outside. However, each one has a strange and unique story behind it, and if you explore them, you’ll get to unravel the thread until you find the truth. You’ll need to find five of them for a task that influences your completion. If you can’t seem to run into them on your own, our Red Dead Redemption 2 shack locations guide will help you.
Where to find shacks in RDR 2?
The first one we found was in the Heartlands, near where you start the game. It’s called Hani’s Bethel, and you’ll find it directly north of Emerald Ranch. Look for a small lake north of the railroad tracks, and the shack will be next to it. When you enter, you’ll see a bunch of beds filled with human remains. If you go to the table at the end of the room, you’ll find a note called Mysterious Sermon. The first sentence is what’s important here – it asks you to be there at 2AM on a half moon. If you do, you’ll be rewarded with an Easter egg.
The next one we’ve found is Old Harry Fen. You’ll find it near the southernmost point of Lemoyne, by the water. The area is called Scarlet Meadows, and the shack is in the woods south of Braithwaite manor. Inside, you’ll find a picture of a slave’s family, and a newspaper scrap about a reward being offered for apprehending a runaway slave.
The next one is called Lenora View, and you’ll find it on the eastern slopes of Mount Shann, north of Strawberry. The house is near the road, and it’s easy to spot, since it’s painted blue. At the front door, you’ll find a bouquet of flowers and a letter from a man going to pick up his new wife.
We also found one in the West Grizzlies, directly west of Valentine. It’s called Clawson’s Rest, and if you head west of Valentine, you’ll find it past the Dakota River and the railroad. There were a bunch of bodies inside, and a pulp novel.
Then there’s Dodd’s Bluff. It’s a tiny cottage in the middle of a forested valley, south of Window Rock, in the north of the map. Once inside, you might notice a grisly murder scene – two bloodied bodies and a crowbar between them.
