What Shack to Pick in Red Dead Online – Best Location
The best Red Dead Online Moonshine Shack to pick, in our opinion, is the one called Grizzlies. It’s just to the west of Valentine, which is an important hub. Plus, it’s near the water, with several fishing and hunting spots like Cattail Pond and other such places. On top of that, it’s sufficiently off the beaten path, meaning that you shouldn’t have too many problems with people trying to mess up your budding business venture.
Now, of course, there’s something to be said about personal preference here, of course. You might be more attracted to the shack in Heartlands, which is also a pretty good moonshine shack location. Or, if you really wanna roleplay, you can get the one in Bayou Nwa, where you’ll also be protected by angry alligators. I’m kidding, don’t go to the Bayou, it’s arguably the worst choice of the five. Whichever shack location you choose, don’t worry if you change your mind. You can always relocate your business to a different place.
How to Buy Shack in RDR2 Online Moonshiners?
To buy your moonshine shack in Red Dead Online, when you start up the game after installing the update, go into your satchel and find the letter called Business Opportunity. Read it, and then check your map to find the new mission marker in Emerald Ranch. Travel over there and find the green shack marked “Saloon.” Enter the building and watch the cutscene. At one point, your new business partner will give you a map with five potential locations, which all cost 25 Gold. Select the one you want and hit Purchase.
How to Change Moonshine Shack Location?
To change the location of your moonshine shack, go into the Free Roam menu, then select Camp and Properties. Select Moonshine Shack, then Choose Shack Location. In the next menu, you’ll once again get the list of the five possible moonshine shack locations. Choose the new place you wanna set your business in. Just keep in mind that it’ll set you back a princely sum of $250, which is just a bit cheaper than the new Navy Revolver.

I choose the swamp location. Ease of travel and close to many ingredients (canola flower, creek plumb, oleander sage to name a few) close by. Also I like the flavor of the location. I play with the gators and feed any unwanted guests to them (seriously if you’ve never tried this it’s funny). Take the body and throw it in the water, as long as it’s deep enough to float. Stand back, wait and watch. Dinner is served (I just wish you could befriend the gators) lol.
I picked hennigans- the shack is located at the base of the cliff, west of manteea falls. It’s fairly quiet there, but the nearest ft is at macfarlanes ranch, not quite as close as I’d like. Roads aren’t too bad for moonshine deliveries tho
This is dumb. The grizzlies are the worst as the roads are rocky. The bayuo is good because the roads are flat. What ever does fishing have to do with moonshine anyway. I think you made this whole article just to be contrary.
Does anyone know what the bar upgrade is for yet?

Yes, so what the bar upgrade does is add a bar area that you and your posse can drink. It DOES NOT MAKE YOU ANY MONEY. The drinks are free and they consist of the last moonshine batch you made. what’s cool about this is that you get different buffs from different moonshine. Plus you can get drunk and slap your friends. if you buy the band upgrade as well it adds insturments there your friends can play and yall can dance to as well so it’s all cosmetic RP type fun, nothing that adds money making opportunities though.
Literally one of the worst locations… off the beaten path.. yeah with no fast travel near it to get out. so you can fast travel in but have to ride quite a ways out. if you don’t wanna be messed up because you went to check the progress, pick heartlands. it’s like 20 seconds from emerald station

What happen if you did went to the moonshine shack but u watch all the cutscene but after that you forgot that you dont have enough gold? How will you be able to get the moonshine shack because you don’t see the yellow mission no more? Where is the location to get it.
Hey man, just press the left button on ps4 pad and will show you the “camps and propriety” option.
Tap left d pad chose camp and properties when on game screen you will then see monshine shack option
Watched cutscene but can’t access map for moonshine shack locations. I can’t even find an option to look at locations. Can’t replay cut scene. So no moonshine for me. I don’t know if It was because I had a collector map already active when I did the scene.
Are you a Level 5 Trader?
Change locations like you would for your camp. Then it allows you to purchase it.

Press start > benefits > become a moonshiner. Now you can select a location for 25 gold!
Did you ever figure anything out? I’m in the same boat i watched the cutscene and never got to purchase a location. Now I see no way to start it over..
I’m having a similar problem. More I did it with my bf and didn’t have the gold at the time. Now looking for how to start it up again
Go to player menu, then camp and properties, then moonshine shack.
Go to your camp and property setting with the interface ( Left direction on d-pad ), I couldnt find mine for ages but theres where I managed to buy my shack from, hope this helps.
