How to Track Quests in Red Dead Redemption 2?

To track quests in Red Dead Redemption 2, first, make sure that you’re not in the middle of a mission, or a dialogue, or anything like that. Once you’re in as neutral a situation as possible, hit left on your D-pad and hold it (my bad, you just have to press it, not hold it; thank you to our reader Dazza for pointing it out). This will take you to the Log menu. There are three tabs in this menus, including Challenges and Tasks. The Tasks tab in the menu is where you want to be. You’ll have a whole list of missions that you’ve taken there. Scroll through it, find the one you want, and select it.

There’s one important thing to keep in mind is that some of those missions are time-sensitive; especially those that you might get from NPCs that you meet randomly in the wild. So, you might not be able to actually track those missions if you’ve gone and faffed about for too long. Also, there’s a way that you can replay missions you’ve already completed, in order to complete the challenges there. Go into the game’s pause menu, then go to Progress. On the next screen, select Story. Then simply select the mission you want to replay.

You might be having trouble with something else in the game; if that’s the case, we’ve got a bunch of other Red Dead Redemption 2 guides for you, including Badgers Locations, How To Keep Stolen Hats, Unique Mask Locations – Pig, Cat, Ram, and more.

If you end up getting stuck at another point, you might want to check out some of the other guides we have. We also have instructional guides that show how to rob stores without getting bounty or where to sell jewelry and gold bars. If it's collectibles or key items you're after, we've found all the Penny Dreadful comic books, Chick's treasure map location, or that famous pipe for Dutch. Finally, if you don't care to explore the map yourself, you could take a look at our Watson's Cabin and Catfish Jackson's Homestead locations guides. In the latest Red Dead Online Moonshiners Update you'll have a chance to find Navy Revolver and Best Shack Locations.

How can I see the task on the map? Like there’s a house I need to rob north of Valentine and it’s in my task log, but doesn’t show the location on my map when I select it. Is there a way to do this?

You need to find those yourself. Those tasks are special. It’s one of the homestead robbery tasks.
