How Long to Beat Red Dead Redemption 2?

As has become standard for RockStar games, Red Dead Redemption 2 is likely going to be an enormous game. Just completing the campaign is going to take you hours upon hours. According to a recent article from Vulture, five hours of the once 65-hour long campaign have been cut. In other words, it will take you around 60 hours just to complete the main campaign. Add in all the side content, and one can safely assume that it’ll take you around a hundred hours or so to complete the game 100%. Of course, we’ll have to wait for the game to come out to be certain.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Download File Size

Apparently, the size of the Red Dead Redemption download file will be approximately 88.57 GB. We can’t say for certain exactly if this information will stay valid by the game’s launch. Of course, we’re going to keep you posted as future info comes out. That being said, there’s a high likelihood that RDR 2 is going to be quite damn massive.

UPDATE: According to IGN, the file size on the PlayStation 4 will be around 105 GB, while the Xbox One File will stand at the above-mentioned 88.57 GB. Either way, make sure to clear up a significant chunk of your hard drive to make home for RDR2.

Oh, and lastly, one more little tidbit that shows the insane amount of detail that the developers have gone into. According to the same article linked above, the finished game will have (or, rather, has, since it’s gone gold) “300,000 animations, 500,000 lines of dialogue, and many more lines of code.” So, yeah, that’s some of the stuff that you can expect from Red Dead Redemption 2. The game is coming out on October 26th, on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
