Red Dead Redemption 2 Cobalt Petrified Wood Location

Cobalt petrified wood is a unique crafting resource in Red Dead Redemption 2. There’s only one place you can find it on the map, and you’ll need it if you want to craft the Boar Tusk Talisman – a unique trinket that unlocks a new perk for Arthur. Where to find Cobalt Petrified Wood in RDR2?

As we’ve mentioned, there’s only one place you can find this material. It’s almost on the western edge of the map, in Ambarino. There’s a cave on the northwestern shores of Lake Isabella (the one where you can find the best horse and the legendary white bison). It’s in the hill near where the river enters the lake from the north. Once you spot the cave, you’ll see an abandoned cart with a frozen corpse in front of it. Climb into the wagon and open the chest – you’ll find some money and the object you were looking for.

You’ll also need a gold earring, which is much easier to find. Valuable items are pretty standard loot, and if you haven’t already sold all your jewelry to get early money, you might even have one in your satchel right now. When you’ve crafted the talisman, you’ll also have to equip it in order to unlock the perk it offers. You can do this at any wardrobe, in your camp or in a hotel.
