Prey E3 2016 Reveal Trailer
Prey has been announced, once more, at this year’s E3. It’s not a straight sequel anymore, and they’ve dropped the number from the name.
The game is being designed by Arkane Studios this time, specifically, their Austin branch. According to the blurb, it “reimagines the franchise from the ground up… with an added psychological twist”. As far as the trailer’s concerned, there’s no sign of the original Prey there. The blurb mentions mental abilities and being alone in an environment full of aliens, so there’s that.
It’s kinda of a reboot? Maybe? We don’t know. It has nothing to do with Native American folklore, spirit animals and such.

You are Morgan Yu, the subject of morally dubious experiments designed to improve the human race. You awaken aboard the Talos 1 in the year 2032 and must uncover the secrets hiding in the depths of the space station while being hunted by the mysterious alien force that has taken over. You’ll have to rely on the tools you find on the station – along with your wits, weapons and mind-bending abilities – to combat the growing threat and, hopefully, survive. Some fans are already complaining that it doesn’t stay true to the original, but a couple of minutes of footage and two sentences of PR speak are hardly conclusive evidence. More info is bound to surface ahead of the 2017 release. As expected, it’s going to launch on PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
