Prey Reaches Number One in UK Sales Charts
Arkane Studios’ new sci-fi horror-adventure Prey has managed to top the UK sales chart last week. It finally took first place from Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, which was still in No. 1 when PRey launched. Now, in its second week, Prey is finally in pole position. The games that follow include GTA V, Rocket League, Ghost Recon: Wildlands, and others.
Prey is the first Bethesda game since Fallout 4 to reach first place in the UK sales chart, as reported by Chart-Track (via GameSpot). Up until last week, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe held the top spot, and Prey didn’t manage to bring it down. Now, the tables have turned. No doubt, the fact that the re-release of Mario Kart 8 is available only on the Nintendo Switch has something to do with it.
The other entries on the list are the usual suspects. GTA V is in second place, and Mario Kart is in third. They’re followed by FIFA 17, Rocket League, Horizon Zero Dawn, Breath of the Wild, and others. You can check out the top-ten in the UK chart below. However, keep in mind that Chart-Track doesn’t take digital sales into consideration. The list would look dramatically different if they included those sales.

- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
