Prey is the upcoming first-person sci-fi action-adventure by Arkane Studios. Since we’re only one day away from the release date, it’s only appropriate that publisher Bethesda release a launch trailer for the game. The video shows us some snippets of gameplay and environments, as well as some early plot elements. Plot-wise, it’s nothing we didn’t already know. However, if you’ve deliberately been avoiding any info about Prey, you should brace yourself for some potential minor spoilers. The tagline of the trailer is a very encouraging: “Don’t run. Don’t hide. Don’t die.”

The trailer showcases some of the powers, weapons and gadgets in action. Yes, there’s a lot of explosions. The most interesting part to me was seeing Morgan Yu transform into a turret and open fire on the Typhon. We also learn that the experiments with the Typhon were a failure, and that Earth itself is in jeopardy. However, Morgan is aware that he’s the only one that can stop the invasion. He’s resolved to take every one of the Typhon down with him if he can’t save us. You can check out the full Prey launch trailer below.

If you want to give the game a spin, you can still download the Prey demo. It gives you a taste of what Prey has to offer, including its multitude of secrets and hidden stuff. The demo is available only for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. This decision raised some concerns about the state of the game on PC, especially considering the less-than-ideal state of the PC version of Dishonored 2. However, developers have assured the community that they won’t repeat the same mistakes with Prey.

Prey is coming out on May 5th for PC, PlayStation 4 and PC.
