Prey - Mimic Madness Gameplay
Prey released an interesting gameplay video featuring the in-game skill called Mimic. You can basically transform yourself into any of the smaller objects in the game and move around. You can turn into a banana, and run around in style. Make sure you check out the video below:
This is a very interesting and innovative feature, stolen from the alien species called Typhon. You can also use it to traverse through small gaps to discover new paths. Players will have the ability to make some very creative kills in the game using the Mimic skill. Later on, the mimic feature can be upgraded, giving you the ability to transform into bigger objects such as turrets and use your enemy’s weapons against them.
Prey’s story won’t be connected to the previous game, and it is set on a brand new location and in an alternate timeline. United States president John F. Kennedy survived the assassination attempt and invested in space programs, developing space travel to a high level. Drawn by its achievements, aliens attack the earth. The US and U.S.S.R. fought together to fend off the attack and build a space station called Talos 1, used as a prison for the alien species. After an incident caused by the scientist, the US government shut down the project.
Players will be playing as Morgan Yu as they explore the station and fight against various alien enemies. Morgan will gain different alien powers throughout the course of the game and use them against the aliens. There will be multiple endings, depending on the player’s choices.
Prey’s worldwide release date is set for May 5th, 2017 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Pre-ordering the game will grant players the Margrave shotgun, as well as some in-game goodies such as medikits and neuromods, which will grant new abilities.
