Pokemon Sword & Shield Where to Get a Razor Claw
Razor Claw in Pokemon Sword & Shield is an item that you can find in the game, and it’s necessary to evolve certain Pokemon. So, naturally, you’ll be wondering how to get a Razor Claw in the game. Well, the matter is pretty simple on the surface, but there is one aspect that complicates things pretty significantly. All that said, in our Pokemon Sword & Shield Where to Get a Razor Claw guide, we’re gonna show you where to find and how to get the Razor Claw in Pokemon SwSh.
Where to Find Razor Claw in Pokemon Sword & Shield?
To find the Razor Claw in Pokemon Sword & Shield, you’ll have to go into Hammerlocke and visit the first Pokemon Center that you’ll come across upon entering or fast travelling to the city. Go inside, and head to the right. Speak to the lady with the cool sunglasses and Poke Balls hanging off of her belt. She sells stuff for BP, aka Battle Points. You can purchase the Razor Claw from her for 10 BP. And that’s it, that’s all there is to it. She sells a lot of other stuff for sale, too, so feel free to browse her wares.
Now, there’s a problem here. Until you reach the very end of the game, and the Battle Tower at the tippy-top of the map, you can’t earn Battle Points. And you unlock the Battle Tower after beating the game. Yes, you can’t evolve your Pokemon that need the Razor Claw until you beat the game; at least, not as far as we know. Feel free to correct us. Anyway, enter the Battle Tower and start battling and climbing up the ranks. Every victorious battle rewards you with BPs. The further you rank up, the more BPs you’ll get as a reward.
UPDATE: As our lovely reader StargateNerd pointed out (thank you, StargateNerd), there’s a small island in the corner of Dusty Bowl where you can get a Razor Claw without having to grind Battle Points. The island in question is the one with a single, large tree on it. You’ll need the Water Rotom Bike to reach it. Explore the edge of the water near the cliff wall to find the Razor Claw.
That’s about all we’ve got when it comes to finding the Pokemon Sword & Shield Razor Claw. If something else in the game is bothering you, check out our other Pokemon Sword & Shield guides. You can also spend the points you get from Pokemon Home for simply having pokemon in your boxes. You can convert 30 Home points into 1 BP, so it may take a few weeks unless you have a subscription
There is a guy in Stow-on-Side who sells 1 random trade evolution item a day.
– Or I think that is what he does because… For me yesterday he sold a Metal coat, today the same thing, and tomorrow he will sell a Razor claw.
Me and a friend just found a Razor Claw on a small island in the Dusty Bowl, without having finished all gyms, so it is possible to get one earlier. I’m not sure if it’s always located there or if it shares the spawn point witt other rare items.
