Unite or Separate Calyrex with Glastrier or Spectrier - Reins of Unity

Uniting or separating Calyrex with Glaster or Spectrier is a mechanic in the Sword & Shield DLC that you should be aware of, and involves using the Reins of Unity. It basically lets you fuse or unfuse Calyrex with its horse, Spectirer or Glaster (depending on your choices during the quest). It’s neat to know that you can do this, and they’re not permanently stuck together. How to Unite and Separate Glastrier or Spectrier with Calyrex – How to Use Reins of Unity?

To unite or separate Calyrex with Glastrier or Spectrier, depending on the choice you made, you have to use the Reins of Unity. That’s the item that you made during the Calyrex Steed quest, or King of Bountiful Harvests, as the game calls it. If the two are fused in your Pokedex, go into your inventory and select the Key Items tab. Scroll down and find the Reins of Unity. Select Use, and then select Calyrex. Boom, they are now separate. Not entirely sure why you’d want that necessarily, but, well, that’s how you do it.

Don’t worry, the separation of Calyrex with Spectrier or Glastrier doesn’t have to be for good. If you want to fuse them back together, select the Reins of Unity. Use it on Calyrex, then on the horse. Voila, they’re back together, as I guess nature intended it. Look, we both know that they look way cooler together. Calyrex really loses some of its luster with its little feetsies dangling in the air. The King of Bountiful Harvests needs his trusty steed.
