Where to find Eevee & Pikachu?

There’s a quick and easy way to find Eeeve and Pikachu, but it’s only available to players of Pokemon Let’s Go. If you’ve played that game and have the save file on your Switch, simply talk to both kids at the train station once you reach the Wild Area. We presume around half the players of the previous game bought the Eevee edition, and not all of them will still have the save files – some may even bought another Switch in the meantime. There are many reasons why you wouldn’t have the save from the older game, but if you do, you’ll be rewarded for it.

As far as we can tell, everyone else will have to look for Eevee in the Wild Area. That’s just a fancy name for the overworld – the big area between all the cities, which comprises of multiple routes, fields and forests. To make matters worse, there’s only one sub-area where you can find it, but thankfully, it has the same chance of spawning regardless of weather. The downside is, that chance is abysmally low.

Eevee and Pikachu can appear on Route 4, north of the mines east of Motostoke City. The chance to encounter them is 1% in Sword and 5% in Shield. Another place where you can catch them is in Stony Wilderness during the thunderstorm, with 10% chance. This means you’ll have to spend an inordinate amount of time on these places, waiting for an Eevee and Pikachu to appear.
