Pokemon Scarlet Violet Pokemon Transfer

The one way we know that you can transfer Pokemon in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is via the Pokemon HOME app. Now, there are several potential problems here. The first one is that Pokemon HOME won’t support Scarlet and Violet until Spring 2023. That, in itself, is not too bad. What is bad is that, according to several sources including CentroLEAKS, all the stats of Pokemon transferred using HOME will reset. They will forget everything they knew in their game proper and instead learn moves they would have in Paldea. This makes sense, because the mechanics in Scarlet and Violet are so different. However, since there’s no taking transfers back, do not do this to your powerful Pokemon expecting them to still be OP in the new game.

So, that’s a pretty important PSA for all of you planning to transfer Pokemon to Scarlet and Violet with the help of Pokemon HOME. Now, considering that the upcoming games have online multiplayer, there is probably also going to be a transfer system between players. You know, so that you can trade Pokemon with strangers or friends. I don’t know if you would consider trading as transferring. Also, I’d imagine that you’ll be able to send Pokemon from Scarlet to Violet and vice versa. However, since the game has just launched, we really can’t say for certain yet. We’ll be sure to update the guide with more info once we have it.
