As we’ll see, the Destiny Knot is one of the more interesting items, as it can be used both in battle, as well as in Pokemon breeding. We’re going to show you how to get the Destiny Knot in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, as well as the exact Destiny Knot location in the game.

Where to Find Destiny Knot in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Like most other items in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, the Destiny Knot is probably obtainable in two ways. Though we haven’t managed to get it as a random drop on the world map, odds are good that you can get it like that as well. On the other hand, we have confirmed the second method to get it, which is – to buy it. You can do this from the Delibird Presents shops. These are a chain of shops and you can find them in all major cities in the game. It costs 20.000 Pokedollars. Though, you won’t be able to buy it right from the start, as you will first need to obtain several Gym Badges. We managed to buy it after we had six.

As we mentioned, the Destiny Knot has two uses. If you give it to a Pokemon to hold, and that Pokemon gets attacked in battle, the Pokemon attacking it has a chance to become infatuated with it. And if that happens, then the infatuated Pokemon is going to have a 50% chance of not attacking your Pokemon on its turn. The other Destiny Knot use has to do with Pokemon breeding. Namely, when you give this item to a Pokemon that you want to breed, then you guarantee that the Pokemon Egg is going to inherit five of its Individual Values (IVs), instead of the usual three it would inherit without it.
