How to Get Charizard Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
Charizard is one of the most famous Pokemon of all time. This iconic Fire / Flying dual-type has been introduced all the way back in Generation 1. As such, it’s no surprise that Charizard is also a part of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. However, there is a unique way to obtain it in that game. So to help you out with doing this, we’re going to show you exactly how to get Charizard in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet and where to find it.
How to Catch Charizard in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
Currently, the only way to catch Charizard in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is via Black Crystal Tera Raids. During your Scarlet & Violet adventures, you may come upon a Black Crystal. You’ll easily be able to tell them apart from the other such crystals that you ordinarily use to begin Tera Raid Battles. The Pokemon that you encounter in these Black Crystals are also significantly stronger. Since Charizards cannot be encountered any other way in the game, the Black Crystal Tera Raids Charizards are really powerful. So you should take great care when trying to battle it, and probably team up with your friends to do so.
The Charizard with the Mightiest Mark will appear during the following times: Thursday, December 1st, 2022, at 4 PM PST, until Sunday, December 4th, 2022, at 3:59 PM PST, and Thursday, December 15th, 2022, at 4 PM PST, until Sunday, December 18th, 2022, at 3:59 PM PST. Note that you can only catch this Charizard once per save game data, and that it will always have the same mark, Ability, and moves no matter when you have caught it during this event. This is the only method to encounter and catch Charizard right now. But this may change sometime in the future – either in a new event or some other way.
