How to Get Across Water in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
Pokemon video games handle movement in a very interesting way. You start off with just the ability to walk, after which you unlock some sort of transportation device (usually a bike), and after that – you learn how to move across water, and so on. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is no exception in this regard. At a certain point in the game, you will get the ability to bike across water. If you were wondering how to get across water in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, we’re here to explain where and how to unlock this.
How to Travel Across Water in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
You won’t have this option right from the start of the game. If you try to go into the water before you have unlocked the ability to do so, the game will fade to black, you will get transported to the shore, and a message will inform you that you somehow managed to get out of the water on time. The first step is to get your transportation device, and to then upgrade it so that it can dash. Like other upgrades for your bike, you also get this one from completing Path of Legends. The particular PoL that you need to do is called The Search for the Open Sky Titan.
When you get here, you will battle Bombirdier, the Open Sky Titan. After you have defeated it, a cutscene will start, and at the end of it – your transportation Pokemon will have acquired the ability to surf across water. To swim, all you need to do is to approach the water while on your Legendary bike Pokemon. You will then automatically begin to swim in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. The controls are very similar to when you are on the ground, as you can even jump while in water when you press the B button.
